Each session this summer will be 30 minutes in length. If you wish to have an hour length session, just sign up for back to back half hour sessions!
Wednesdays and Fridays are off for the summer, but will resume for individualized tutoring sessions in August.
About Us
Qualifications
Masters in Elementary Education with a Teaching License for K-6 (earned in 2016)
Undergraduate B.S. in Mathematics (earned in 2012)
5+ years teaching experience in grades K-2
10+ years teaching experience in preschool
Specialized in early childhood education
Worked with children of all abilities – including those that have IEPs and receive EC services
Services We Offer
Tutoring in any subject area – reading, math, writing, spelling, handwriting, listening/following directions, comprehension.
Test taking strategies and preparedness (learning how to answer multiple choice and free response questions – including showing work on math problems)
Higher Level Exam preparations – EOGs, SATs – prepare for higher level exams
Homework help – bring your homework to a session and have us work through it with your child to ensure they are understanding the material.
Sessions
*Individualized Tutoring Sessions – 1 hour or 30 minutes. Personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions. The hour, or half hour, is broken up into sections specifically to fit your child’s individual needs. The time spent learning is also broken up with mini educational review games.
*Individualized Test Prep Sessions for higher level exams (EOGs, SATs … ) have varying costs which are determined between Leland Tutoring and the student after the first session.
